Input Sought on Plans for 3 Skateboard Parks
- Share via
At long last, local skateboarders may get a park of their own.
In a first step in that direction, skateboard enthusiasts and frustrated ramp designers are invited to attend a workshop soliciting community input for the design of three planned mini skateboard parks.
Although the sites have not yet been chosen, the city will hold a meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Community Meeting Room at City Hall, 501 Poli St., to discuss the designs.
Project architect Ken Wormhoudt will discuss the different elements--ramps, curbs and mini half-pipes--that could be built into the parks.
