St. Pat Favored the Three-Leaf Clover

You got the color right on the graphic “Where the Facts Are Always Greener” (March 17). But, alas, you gave the shamrock one too many leaves.
St. Patrick used the three-leaf shamrock to symbolize the trinity in his quest to convert the ancient Irish to Christianity more than 1,500 years ago.
Commercialized versions of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations sometimes mistakenly use a four-leaf clover instead of a three-leaf shamrock.
