At Least 65 Injured as Trains Collide

A passenger train and a freight train collided head-on in western Mexico, injuring at least 65 people, the official Notimex news agency said. Eight of the injuries were considered grave, said Notimex, which quoted local authorities. No deaths were reported. The morning accident occurred near Zacoalco, in Jalisco state about 35 miles southwest of Guadalajara amid confusion about which railway route each train was to take, said Notimex.
