With Easter only a week away, the Ventura Department of Community Services will hold Cottontail Canyon Day, an Easter festival for kids and parents, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Arroyo Verde Park at Day and Foothill roads in Ventura.
The daylong event will feature a number of children’s activities, including an Easter egg hunt, a petting zoo and camel rides. Admission is free, but registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. is required for the egg hunt.
Parking is limited, and participants are encouraged to use Ventura College’s Loma Vista parking lot. A free shuttle will take participants to the event.
