Teenage Smokers
I’m writing in regard to the new federal law requiring a photo ID for the sale of cigarettes to anyone who looks under 27.
As a 17-year-old senior in high school I see many teenagers my age and much younger go into a store and buy cigarettes with no problems. This law may make it harder on these teens to buy cigarettes, therefore discouraging them to smoke. This will hopefully drop the rate of teenage smokers and teen smokers to come.
