Cal State Northridge outside hitter Chad Strickland was chosen the American Volleyball Coaches Assn. player of the week after collecting 70 kills, 25 digs and 11 blocks in three matches. He hit a combined .427 in victories over La Verne and Pacific and in a loss to Stanford.
