ANAHEIM — Authorities say they believe an arsonist is responsible for a two-alarm fire that swept through an abandoned community center Monday night.
A spokesperson for the Anaheim Fire Department said they have a suspect, whom they would not name and who remains at large.
The fire caused $300,000 in damage to the vacant building at 1400 S. Douglass Road, which is inside an abandoned mobile home lot near the Anaheim Pond.
An off-duty fire captain spotted the smoke from the blaze about 8:30 p.m., said Tabby Cato, Fire Department spokesperson.
No one was injured, and firefighters are investigating.
