Local Group Will Honor Gayle Wilson

Gayle Wilson, wife of Gov. Pete Wilson, will be honored today as the 1997 Woman of Distinction by the Huntington Beach chapter of Soroptimist International.
Soroptimist is a 75-year-old service club for executive and professional women. It has 100,000 members worldwide.
The awards ceremony, open to the public, will be at noon in the grand ballroom of the Waterfront Hilton Beach Resort, 21100 Pacific Coast Highway. Tickets are $30.
