Restoration of the Bolsa Chica wetlands will be the main topic for today’s meeting of Amigos de Bolsa Chica.
Bob Hight, executive director of the California State Lands Commission, will review that agency’s purchase last month of 880 acres of wetlands after a 20-year fight. And Jack Fancher, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologist, will discuss plans to restore and preserve the area.
The meeting, at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall’s Room B8, is open to the public.
