Meeting to Focus on School Overcrowding
Several proposals to relieve overcrowding at two schools will be discussed today during a special meeting of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.
Some options, like rerouting Glenview Elementary School students to Yorba Linda Middle School instead of Bernardo Yorba Middle School, have drawn criticism from parents.
Residents have showed support for other proposals, including rerouting Bryant Ranch Elementary students to Yorba Linda Middle instead of Bernardo Yorba, and building a new school in the Rio Vista Elementary School attendance area.
Trustees, who requested a special session on the issues, are expected to narrow down 10 proposals to options that have majority support.
The special session starts at 4 p.m., at the Education Services Center, 4999 Casa Loma Ave., Yorba Linda. Information: (714) 996-2550.
