The owners of Kingston Technology and Malden Mills (“Ethics, Loyalty Are Tightly Woven at Mill,” Dec. 19) demonstrate quite clearly that American corporations need not underpay their employees nor send work to sweatshops overseas to turn a profit. Both of these companies have been very successful and profitable for the very reason that the owners respect and honor their workers not just with words, but with fair wages, job guarantees and the real possibility of upward mobility in exchange for employees’ hard work.
