Nordhoff 21, Moorpark 7--Russell Farrar rushed for 222 yards and a touchdown in 35 carries to lead Nordhoff (9-0-1, 4-0) to its fourth league title in six years.
Moorpark’s Art Garcia tied the score, 7-7, in the third quarter with an 89-yard kickoff return. However, Mike Sedlak answered back with an 80-yard return on the ensuing kickoff.
Farrar added a one-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter. Moorpark’s record fell to 4-6, 1-3.
