Pierce Is Outpointed, 29-27

Robert Grays blocked Mark Brant-Spitzer’s extra point with nine seconds left and Allen Sennick returned it 75 yards for two points to give Santa Monica College a 29-27 victory over Pierce Saturday night in a Western State Conference game at Woodland Hills.
Pierce (0-4), which has lost 12 in a row, tied it on a 12-yard pass from Dan McMullen to Jermaine Brooks on fourth down.
McMullen completed 26 of 46 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns.
Brooks caught 12 passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns, and returned a kickoff 88 yards for another score.
Santa Monica is 3-2.
Police reported that several shots were fired in the parking lot after the game but there were no reports of injuries.
