Capistrano Valley Falls Short in Finals

Capistrano Valley posted an upset to reach the finals, but then lost to La Verne Bonita, 9-7, in the championship game of the Long Beach Millikan water polo tournament Saturday in Long Beach.
Capistrano Valley (4-1), the sixth-ranked team in Orange County, reached the finals by upsetting third-ranked Villa Park, 10-9, in the semifinals. Ryan Wall had five goals in the victory over Villa Park (5-1).
In the third-place game:
Villa Park 12, Los Angeles Loyola 9--Kyle Baumgarner scored eight goals for Villa Park (5-1).
In a consolation game:
Santa Margarita 7, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 6--Andrew Jensen scored four goals in two games for the Eagles, who defeated Irvine, 10-5, in an earlier game.
