Regarding Gov. Pete Wilson’s executive order to eliminate prenatal care for illegal immigrants, Aug. 28:
The life of the unborn child is at stake with regard to the issues of abortion and eliminating prenatal care for illegal immigrants. How is it possible to be against abortion and yet, at the same time, imperil the lives of other children?
Our conceptions of human life appear to be inconsistent. If the lives of our children are not to be equally regarded, then what happens to words like morality and immorality? They lose their potency. We lose our humanity.
