Call Box Deal Worth $4.1 Million

YORBA LINDA — Comarco Inc.’s Wireless Technologies unit received a $4.1-million contract to upgrade motorist call boxes in Los Angeles County so that they can be used by hearing- or speech-impaired individuals.
The contract from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority calls for Comarco to upgrade 4,000 call boxes.
The company said the modifications will take 18 months to complete.
