Molotov Cocktail Thrown Into Home

A fire that started when a Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of a home early Wednesday was believed to be a gang-related incident, Los Angeles police said.
No injuries were reported but at least one person was in the home when the attack occurred shortly after 1 a.m., said Sgt. Ike Langsam of the LAPD.
The single-family house in the 12700 block of Arminta Street suffered structural damage in the small fire that was started by the incendiary device. The blaze was extinguished before firefighters arrived, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“The people who inhabit that dwelling are believed to be in a Filipino gang,” Langsam said. “The consensus seems to be that it was gang-related.”
The incident is being examined by the Fire Department’s arson investigation division.
