Yacht Club Invites Sail-A-Thon Entrants

The Westlake Yacht Club is seeking sailing teams and sponsors for its third annual Sail-A-Thon fund-raiser to be held Saturday on Westlake Lake.
Teams of two or more people competing in the 10-hour event, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., will sail a designated course, with pledges being determined by the number of laps completed.
Competitors will be divided into three fleets: 18 and younger, adults and a special designation for electric boats.
Participants need not be members of the Westlake Yacht Club to compete. Proceeds will benefit the Casa Pacifica Children’s Crisis Care Center in Camarillo. To get a rules sheet and entry form, or to sponsor a team, call Susan Artof at (818) 879-0612.
