Thirteen high school students have been awarded scholarships after completing at least one semester in the Capistrano- Laguna Beach Regional Occupational Program.
The students took classes to increase their career options in a variety of occupations, from agriculture to home economics. They will receive from $50 to $200 each when they enroll in college or other programs to continue their education.
Capistrano Unified School District students who received awards are: Debbie Roy, Matt Brown, Porsha Johnson, Sead Hukic, Lisa Reza, Tabitha Wollam, Aja Hogan, Natalie Lorenzo, Molly Markel, Daniel Maul, Nathan Ham, Lee Higgins and Mike Oshita.
Laguna Beach High School student Eric Hooper was a runner-up.
