They Still Talk a Terrific Game
Let me get this straight. The Dodgers lose a game to San Diego that drops them back into a first-place tie in the NL West. Even as the Padres go 9-21 over their last 30 games, the Dodgers still can’t put any distance between themselves and the rest of the NL Worst. And it is at this time that the Dodgers feel compelled to resurrect their sickening chest-thumping about how great they are?
Didn’t we go through this in spring training? Didn’t the Dodgers vow to run away with the West? Didn’t Raul Mondesi say, “Write it down. I will have a career year”? When will they ever learn just to shut up and play ball?
If you ever wondered why as many people loathe the Dodgers as love them, let this be your lesson.
