Angel Games Now Mickey Mouse Events

A note to Disney: You do not need cheerleaders, fireworks, dugout dancers, flaming mascots or perpetual bombardment of noise between innings and at-bats to get people out to the ballpark. All you need to do is put a decent team on the field and let them start a winning tradition. The Dodgers are still getting big crowds playing organ music between innings.
Just cut the sensory overload. If my attention span was that bad, I would stay home and play a video game or watch MTV.

We have attended our last Angel game. The Disney people are out to drive loyal fans out of the stadium in favor of a younger audience for whom baseball is a distraction. It isn’t the sideshows per se I oppose, but the volume. It is too loud for comfort or long-range health if you care about your eardrums.
