Two Men Accused of Robbing Harry Dean Stanton Enter Pleas

Two North Hollywood men pleaded no contest Wednesday to robbing actor Harry Dean Stanton at his Mulholland Drive home.
Jose Rivera, 18, and Martin Guerrero, 20, faced other charges that included carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the home invasion robbery of Stanton, 69, in January.
Those counts were dropped in exchange for the no-contest plea to robbery charges.
Stanton, whose films include “Repo Man” and “Alien,” was bound and pistol-whipped by robbers at his home. The robbers fled in Stanton’s car, which was equipped with a tracking device that led police to the suspects.
Rivera and Guerrero are scheduled to be sentenced April 24. One alleged accomplice, Alex Ramirez, pleaded guilty to lesser charges last week, court officials say. The last alleged accomplice, Rene Garcia, has pleaded not guilty.
