Independence Hall Gets a Face-Lift
For the seventh time in its 264-year history, Philadelphia’s Independence Hall is undergoing renovation.
Until it’s done early next year, the hall will remain open to visitors, with individual rooms closed periodically; the Assembly Room, however, will remain open throughout. Furnishings have been temporarily removed and an exhibit about the renovations installed. Tours leave from the West Wing between Congress and Inde-
pendence halls and are free, as always. Information: (215) 597-8974.
