ATLANTA — The widow of an ironworker killed when a lighting structure collapsed at the Olympic Stadium last year has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and its design team, court officials said Friday.
The lawsuit, filed in Fulton County State Court by the estate of stadium worker Jack Falls, claims negligence and seeks unspecified punitive damages. Falls was killed when a light tower crashed to the ground on March 20, 1995.
