American Faces Charges of Holding Fake Dollars

QUITO, Ecuador — Police are holding an American woman on charges of trying to leave the country with nearly $180,000 in counterfeit money, officials said Wednesday.
Evelyn Fantauzzi, 32, was arrested last week at Quito’s international airport carrying 1,799 fake $100 bills under her clothes, police said.
