World IN BRIEF : LIBYA : Hijackers Surrender After Diverting Jet

Three hijackers, claiming that they had a divine message for President Clinton, Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, forced an EgyptAir jet carrying 152 people to fly to Martubah, Libya. The hijackers, believed to be Saudis, surrendered five hours later. Airport officials in Cairo, the plane’s destination, said the Airbus A320 was seized during a stopover in Luxor, Egypt, en route from Jidda, Saudi Arabia.
