Uncaged: “The Birdcage” had its third consecutive flight to the top spot at the box office during the weekend with $13.7 million, according to early estimates. The MGM/UA comedy has taken in $61 million since its release three weeks ago. Warner Bros.’ thriller “Executive Decision” was taking second place again, with $9.8 million. Warner Bros.’ new release, “Diabolique,” starring Sharon Stone, was heading for third place with $5.7 million. Disney’s “Up Close and Personal” was tied with another Disney film, “Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco,” at $4.4 million for fourth and fifth places, while Gramercy’s “Fargo” and Spike Lee’s new film, “Girl 6,” from 20th Century Fox, were both at $2.9 million for No. 6 and No. 7 spots. Official weekend box office figures will be released today.
