Bruin Fan Looking for Good Argument

I read with amusement last week the UCLA sports information director’s letter defending Peter Dalis’ record regarding UCLA TV and radio coverage.

I was therefore hoping that the same person could defend how Peter Dalis permitted Rick Neuheisel to leave his athletic department less than two years ago while making the salary equivalent of a McDonald’s night shift supervisor, only to turn around 20 months later and offer him a raise of $300,000 to return to his department.

I’m not sure what Chancellor Young’s opinion was of this personnel debacle, but if it were the business world, Mr. Dalis would likely be retiring at this juncture “to pursue other interests.”
