NHL on Fox: Now You See It, Now You Don’t
- Share via
I can no longer watch the Fox telecast of the NHL All-Star game. I feel that with the purple halo surrounding the puck and the annoying red tracer on shots and passes that I am on LSD.
If Fox intends to use the halo/tracer in future games, this is one hockey fan who will not be watching. Please, ESPN, do not consider this piece of junk. If the commissioner is trying to attract the young audience, he better lower the cost of game tickets, because a 12-year-old might like this, but I don’t see them paying $90 a ticket, the cost of many loge seats at the Great Western Rip-Off of the Fan Forum.

Fox’s attempt to enhance the NHL on television was a success. I’ve been a hockey fan for 20 years and always found it difficult to follow the puck on TV.
The only thing Fox should improve on is the look of the puck. The blue circle around the puck was much too big. I would leave it black and increase the size slightly.
