*** Noise Addict, “Meet the Real You,” Grand Royal. Silverchair is hardly the first or last word on Aussie teen rock. Melbourne singer-songwriter Ben Lee is light years ahead in insights into adolescence (and into the demi-stardom Lee earned last year), while his self-effacing, sarcastic wit shows wisdom beyond his years. Producer Brad Wood (Liz Phair) shapes Lee’s high school band into an amiably rough though attractive rock ensemble, but does nothing to tamper with Lee’s natural gifts.
