EVERYWHERE
Sow: Broccoli, cabbages, green onions (except in deserts and mountains); radishes, spinach (except in high desert and mountains). Also sow radishes (except in the mountains).
Harvest: Green garlic, onions, shallots, radishes, winter greens and herbs, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, celeriac, leafy celery, peas (except in mountains); Brussels sprouts (except in mountains and in interior climates where fuchsias won’t grow).
COASTAL CLIMATES
Sow: Beets, broccoli, cauliflower, chard, kohlrabi, salad greens, all peas, turnips.
LOW DESERT
Sow: Carrots, chard, salad greens.
Plant: Potatoes.
Harvest: Beets, kohlrabi, turnips.
INTERIOR CLIMATES
(Where fuchsias won’t grow)
Sow: Broccoli, cabbages, onions, all peas.
INTERIOR CLIMATES
(Where fuchsias grow fairly well)
Sow: Beets, broccoli, cabbages, carrots, cauliflower, chard, kohlrabi, onions, all peas, salad greens, turnips.
