Praise for Officials

It is heartening for The Times to recognize in a Dec. 24 editorial the city of Huntington Beach’s effort to change Commodore Circle.
The Huntington Beach City Council with wisdom has appropriated funds, and City Administrator Michael T. Uberuaga and Assistant City Administrator Ray Silver with perspicacity have directed the funds to improving the Florida-Utica area.
Funding the construction of sidewalks on Yorktown Avenue and a code enforcement officer to uplift renters’ living conditions have enhanced the Florida-Utica neighborhood at a time when finances are depleted and demands are many.
I attribute this success to Huntington Beach’s outstanding city government.

Vice Chairman
