Pacoima : Charges Filed Over Transport of Waste
- Share via
Prosecutors filed charges Tuesday against a Pacoima plating and chemical processing company for allegedly violating state laws regulating the transportation of hazardous waste.
Holchem Inc. is charged with three vehicle code violations--two counts of having improper papers to ship naphtha, a lightly flammable substance, and one count of not displaying the proper placard for another material, Deputy City Atty. Rubin Harsoyo said.
An LAPD officer stopped one of Holchem’s trucks in Pacoima in January and found that it had improper documentation for its load, Harsoyo said. Also charged with the same counts is the driver, Phillip Gerard Perrin, 30, of Canoga Park, Harsoyo said.
Each count is punishable by a fine of up to $1,000, he said.
