A man walking along a freeway car-pool lane was struck and killed by a car, California Highway Patrol officials said Tuesday.
Terrence Cosgrove, 46, of Stanton was hit about 10 p.m. Monday while walking along the south car-pool lane of the San Diego Freeway near Springdale Street, CHP Officer Tim O’Toole said.
The 36-year-old driver of the car was not cited, and investigators said they don’t know why Cosgrove was walking on the freeway.
