Looking to maintain the city’s cultural diversity, the City Council has agreed to provide $4,000 to the William Hall Master Chorale.
Formerly known as the Orange County Master Chorale, the music group exposes children to ensemble singing through an outreach program to local elementary schools.
The chorale had sought $8,000, but the council set the amount at $4,000 for the outreach program.
“We have to tell a lot of people no,” said Mayor Mark Goodman. “But then, we also get to tell a lot of people yes.”
