CAMARILLO : Suspect to Be Tried in Slaying of Brother
- Share via
A judge has ordered a Camarillo man to stand trial on a murder charge in connection with the gunshot slaying of the man’s younger brother.
Randy James Waggoner, 37, is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing his brother after a dispute--apparently over a woman--on Oct. 2. Prosecutors said Waggoner and Tracey D. Waggoner, 34, had a long history of fighting.
The elder Waggoner was arrested in Victorville several hours after his brother was found with a gunshot wound to the chest in the family home on Cartegena Street.
Waggoner is being held in Ventura County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison if convicted.
