Sherman Oaks : Gas Co. Project to Disrupt Traffic
- Share via
Several area streets are being torn up, or will be excavated, in a Southern California Gas Co. project recently started to replace natural-gas pipes.
Traffic will be disrupted until mid-January along Valley Vista Boulevard from Woodvale Road to Sherman Oaks Avenue, and on Sherman Oaks Avenue from Valley Vista to Sepulveda Boulevard.
Crews will also be working on Sepulveda Boulevard from Sherman Oaks Avenue to Royal Oak Road, and from Valley Meadow Road roughly to Mulholland Place. Construction hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
According to Cathy Maguire, district manager for the utility, natural gas service to area residents and businesses will not be interrupted during the construction project.
There may be temporary street closures, she said, but local residents and emergency vehicles will continue to have access to homes.
