SOUTHERN SECTION ROUNDUP : Harris’ Long Runs Power Quartz Hill

Quartz Hill’s Jeremiah Harris ran for 237 yards in 17 carries and scored on runs of 70 and 52 yards to lead the Rebels to a 35-13 nonleague victory Friday night at Quartz Hill.
Harris scored on the first two possessions of the game for 10th-ranked Quartz Hill (2-1). He added a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Quartz Hill’s first half ended with an 82-yard touchdown catch by Raul Gomez from Brian Woodworth, who threw for two touchdowns and 132 yards on five-of-11 passing.
The only high point for Hesperia (0-3) came late in the fourth quarter on a 50-yard touchdown reception by Joe Gooden from Keith Maricone.
