Hueneme 29, Camarillo 12--Quarterback George Jones ran for one touchdown and threw for another, leading the host Vikings to victory over Camarillo.

Jones, who complete five of nine passes for 79 yards, teamed with running back Ronney Jenkins from 21 yards out with 15 seconds remaining in the second quarter for a 15-3 halftime lead.

Jones (seven carries for 46 yards) then ran over from 14 yards out early in the fourth quarter.

Jenkins, who ran 48 yards in 21 carries, scored Hueneme’s first touchdown from six yards out with 2:28 remaining in the second quarter, capping a 12-play, 54-yard drive. Jenkins’ 24-yard punt return and a 27-yard kickoff return set up both of Hueneme’s first half touchdowns. Jenkins was held to under 100 yards rushing for the first time this season.

Camarillo quarterback Joe Borchard (13 completions, 26 attempts, 189 yards) threw a touchdown pass from 25 yards out to Mike Anger midway through the third quarter after a Floyd Cormier interception.
