In an excursion aimed at improving bilingual and bicultural education, 15 Southern California educators traveled to Mexico to visit several schools.
The delegation, chosen from all over Southern California, left for Guadalajara last week. They are led by Dionicio Morales, president of the Montebello-based Mexican American Opportunity Foundation. The trip is part of an annual international preschool teacher exchange program sponsored by the state Department of Education.
In turn, a delegation of teachers from Mexico will travel to Southern California within the next month, said foundation spokeswoman Valerie Martinez.
