Valley 51, West L.A. 3--The Monarchs lived up to their No. 17 national ranking in a WSC South Division game at Valley.
Quarterback Aaron Flowers completed 15 of 25 for 239 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 29-yard scoring run. David Eastham had five catches for 46 yards and one touchdown, and Eric Ruehle had three catches for 141 yards and one touchdown.
Marcus Harvey gained 86 yards in nine carries and had a three-yard scoring run.
Valley’s defense, led by defensive end Jerome Elliott and linebacker Troy Tuck, who both scored, limited West L.A. to 56 yards.
Valley rolled up 300 first-half yards and finished with 484.
