Colton Bloomington Christian 40, St. Margaret’s 20--St. Margaret’s quarterback Mike Heydenrych passed for 149 yards and two touchdowns as the Tartans (0-1) lost to host Colton Bloomington Christian.
Justin Jameson caught one touchdown pass from Heydenrych, a 53-yard play, in the first quarter. Teammate Reza Asgari had the other touchdown reception, a 10-yarder late in the fourth quarter.
Los Angeles Brentwood 18, Capistrano Valley Christian 8--Bryant Wolfsberger ran for 112 yards in 17 carries, but the Eagles came up short. Wayland Williams hooked up with Tim Baker for an 18-yard touchdown pass with a minute remaining to avoid the shutout.
In nonleague eight-man football:
Heritage Christian 54, Calabasas Viewpoint 12--Dave Acheson ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns and Josh Loera added 91 yards rushing and three touchdowns for visiting Heritage Christian (1-0).
