Two Oxnard men were arrested after authorities said they found more than two pounds of cocaine hidden in folded clothes at the suspects’ apartment.
Carlos Luna Garcia, 26, and Alex Ortiz Luna, 23, were booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of possession of cocaine for sale.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said it had received reports that two men were peddling drugs in the Oxnard-Camarillo area. Sheriff’s deputies stopped the two in a restaurant parking lot at Las Posas Road near the Ventura Freeway at 6:15 p.m. Friday after authorities said they observed what appeared to be a drug deal.
According to reports, officers seized two ounces of cocaine in the parking lot. The officers then searched the suspects’ apartment in the 700 block of South B Street in Oxnard and found more than two pounds of the white powder concealed in a closet, authorities said.
