Rich Schaaf, who resigned as athletic director at Santa Margarita High in July, has changed his mind and will return this fall, the school announced Tuesday.
Schaaf had accepted a teaching position at Big Bear High but decided the situation at Santa Margarita was better for him and his family.
His wife, Cindy, will return to Santa Margarita as coach of the girls’ cross-country team and work as a part-time teacher.
