LA HABRA : Nude Dance Theater Plan Awaits OK

A nude dancing theater has been proposed on a former bank property on Imperial Highway, across the street from a shopping center.
Bill Badi Gammoh bought the site on the northwest corner of Harbor Boulevard and has proposed to turn it into the Pelican Theater. He said he wants to offer nude dancing every night and serve only nonalcoholic drinks.
On Tuesday, the Traffic Commission will review Gammoh’s study on the effect his business would have on traffic and parking in the area. If they approve the study, the Planning Commission in September will consider Gammoh’s request for a business permit.
If the commission grants the permit and no one appeals, Gammoh said he will open by the end of the year.
