FHP International Corp.: The Fountain Valley health care company has named two new directors--Robert C. Maxson, president of Cal State Long Beach, and Dr. Robert W. Jamplis, president and chief executive of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. They succeed FHP founder Dr. Robert Gumbiner, who resigned in July criticizing the company’s shift away from its traditional HMO model, and Mark B. Hacken, who resigned in June.
