OCC’s Crone Signs With UC Santa Barbara

Jason Crone, a two-time All-Orange Empire Conference selection in men’s volleyball for Orange Coast College, has signed a letter of intent to play for UC Santa Barbara.

Crone, a 6-foot-3 outside hitter from Boulder, Colo., had a single-season school record of 389 kills for OCC in 1995.

Julie Sandoval, an assistant women’s volleyball coach at Cal State Fullerton, was named head volleyball coach at Cal State Dominguez Hills, the school announced Tuesday.

At Cal State Fullerton, Sandoval had been the assistant to Mary Ellen Murchison for the last three years. Before joining the Titans, Sandoval was head coach at Saddleback College.
