The body of a woman found in a grassy area of Lancaster was identified Sunday as Rose Sellers, a transient, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Sellers, 41, was found on the side of the road near 53rd Street West and Avenue K-15 on Saturday by sheriff’s deputies investigating an illegal dumping call, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death, said coroner’s spokesman Nils Linder.
