One of the victims of a fatal traffic accident in New Hampshire was identified Thursday as 11-year-old Colin Waunch of Camarillo.
Colin’s mother, Kathleen Waunch, 47, of Camarillo suffered minor injuries in the three-vehicle accident that also claimed the lives of her mother, Kathleen Sullivan, 77, of Stoneham, Mass.; her sister, Patricia Picardo, 46, of Melrose, Mass., and Picardo’s daughter, Amanda, 12, of Melrose.
The collision occurred Wednesday morning in Londonderry, N.H., when a 10-wheel truck struck the car driven by Kathleen Waunch and the two vehicles then hit another car, New Hampshire State Police said. The three vehicles were traveling north on Interstate 93.
The car driven by Waunch caught fire, and a passerby pulled her to safety, police said. The four passengers in the car died.
Waunch and the drivers and passengers in the other vehicles were treated for minor injuries and released from local hospitals, police said.
An investigation is continuing, police said.
