Some Priority Mail Rates to Be Cut: The U.S. Postal Service said it will reduce its rates for some packages weighing 7 to 70 pounds sent by priority mail, effective Aug. 27. The discounts will apply to packages in that weight range sent medium distances. Priority mail is the Postal Service’s two-day delivery service.
